Look at these fucking hipsters.
What, you didn’t know Urban Outfitters was run by super conservative Republicans who fund creationist anti gay-marriage Senators?

This is one of the many reasons I refuse to shop at Urban Outfitters anymore.
I also don’t like to support companies that encourage eating disorders and show a lot of prejudice towards women, religions, and races in their clothing. Yes, I realize I have bought things from them in the past, and shopping at American Apparel isn’t my best decision. I’m so upset with Dov Charney and how he thinks he can treat women, but at least I’m aware of what’s going on when I buy things from companies I disagree with. I don’t feel good about supporting them, but it is hard to steer away from certain stores you’ve shopped with for so long. Not to mention they are extremely conservative as seen above. The clothing is cheaply made and overpriced. I’ll admit that some things there are cute, but if I want something that will have unraveling seams after one or two times of wearing it I’ll go to forever 21.
Feel free to continue shopping there and supporting everything you might be against without even knowing it. Maybe if you went through the links I scattered throughout this you know now just what your money has gone to. I just hope you enjoy your overpriced clothes and remember: they’re full of all kinds of prejudice from homophobia to racism.

Stopped shopping there last year. I miss it, but this is important.

never really shopped there to begin with. but yeah. this is important. you should read it.

A few years ago I bought maybe three things from there, but that’s it. I quit because it was too expensive and super poor quality.Don’t shop there, please.

It’s also important to know that Haynes, who owns Urban Outfitters, also owns Anthropology and Free People.
I hate that the store operates under this fake “progressive leftist” cover, selling shirts that promote gay marriage rights (used to sell, that is) while with every time someone bought a shirt, their money was actually going to strip away gay rights.
